A scientist’s position in the ranking is determined by their discipline-specific D-index (Discipline H-index), which exclusively considers papers and citation metrics attributed to the specific discipline of Immunology. This approach ensures precise alignment of the ranking with expertise and scholarly contributions within the chosen field.
Scope of Research and Inclusion Criteria
The ranking comprehensively examined a total of 187,135 scientist profiles identified from diverse bibliometric data sources across all research disciplines, including 2,199 scientists specializing specifically in Immunology. To qualify for inclusion, a scientist was required to have a minimum D-index of 40, with a majority of their tier publications categorized within Immunology.
