Overview
The University of Sydney is a public research university located in Sydney, Australia.
Founded in 1850, it is the first university in Australia and is considered one of the top universities worldwide. Also known as Sydney Uni or USYD, it is famous for being one of Australia's six sandstone universities. Stretching across the inner-city suburban areas of Darlington and Camperdown, the university’s campus is ranked among the top 10 of the world's most beautiful universities by some global newspapers.
Sydney Uni offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs through its nine faculties and university schools. It is divided into 16 academic divisions, which include Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering and Information Technologies, Business, Medicine, and Agriculture and Environment. It follows the semester-based academic calendar and the primary medium of instruction is English. The university also offers a one-year, research-based honors program to its undergraduate students.
The University of Sydney undertakes collaborative, multidisciplinary research programs through its research/teaching centers and institutes, which number around a hundred. These include the Nano Institute (nanoscience), Marie Bashir Institute (biosecurity and infectious diseases), Sydney Environment Institute (climate change), the Brain and Mind Centre (mental health and neurological diseases), and the Charles Perkins Centre (obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, etc.).
It also has several hundred exchange programs and partner universities in countries across the world. Its partner institutions include Yale University (United States), Uppsala University (Sweden), Fudan University (China), University of British Columbia (Canada), Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR), and University of Munster (Germany).
Graduates of Sydney Uni are rated as the most employable in Australia and among the top five most employable worldwide. It is among the pioneering universities globally to accept students based only on academic merit. The university is also known to be one of the first institutions in the world that implemented gender equality in enrollments.
The university has produced several Nobel and Crafoord laureates, with some joining the faculty. It has also educated other luminaries, including Australian prime ministers, governors-general of Australia, state governors and territory administrators, justices of the High Court of Australia (including several chief justices), as well as Gates Scholars and Rhodes Scholars.
Students have a number of convenient housing options on the university’s main and satellite campuses. At Camperdown/Darlington campus, accommodations include residential colleges, university-managed dorms and apartments, and an International House. At the Camden campus, students can stay at Nepean Lodge and Nepean Hall. The university also assists in off-campus accommodation arrangements for students.

D-index
D-index (Discipline H-index) only includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline in
contrast to General H-index which accounts for publications across all disciplines.
Our research was coordinated by Imed Bouchrika, PhD, a computer scientist with a well-established record
of collaboration on a number of international research projects with different partners from the academic
community. His role was to make sure all data remained unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date.
We list only scientists having D-Index >= 70 within the area of
Medicine. If you or other scholars are not listed, we appreciate if you can
