- Have the majority of tier publications concentrated in the Social Sciences and Humanities areas.
- Exhibit notable awards and achievements in the Social Sciences and Humanities, which were considered as supplementary indicators of research excellence.
The D-index threshold to identify top researchers is calibrated as increments of 10, relative to the estimated total number of active scholars in each discipline. This methodology guarantees the inclusion of roughly the top 1% of leading scholars across all areas covered. Additionally, a proximity rule is applied whereby the difference between a scientist’s overall H-index and their D-index remains within 30%, aiding the verification of consistent impact within the discipline.
