Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is a public research university in Gelderland, Netherlands. It was established in 1876 as the National Agricultural College before it became a full-fledged university in 1918. It underwent several name changes and mergers before it took on its current name in 2016. WUR is also recognized worldwide as one of the top agricultural academic institutions. They are also known for specializing in technical and engineering subjects.
