Call for Papers

The Brazilian Congress of Thermal Sciences and Engineering (ENCIT), held every two years, is one of the main international conferences promoted by the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering (ABCM). In its 19th edition, the conference will keep its well established tradition to address some of the most recent advances in several areas of thermal sciences. As an ideal forum to promote new developments and ideas, the conference will bring together professionals from universities, research laboratories and industry to present the latest advances related to applied and fundamental topics in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer and related fields. In additional to the presentations of peer-reviewed technical papers, the conference will also hold invited lectures of some of the leading researchers in their fields.

After shifting to online format in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, ENCIT 2022 will mark its return to in-person format, bringing all participants to face to face interactions in the beautiful region of Bento Gonçalves, in the south of Brazil. ENCIT 2022 will be again hosted by the Department and the Graduate Program of Mechanical Engineering of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (DEMEC and PROMEC, UFRGS).

Authors are invited to submit abstracts covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

• Aerospace Engineering
• Bioengineering
• Combustion
• Energy
• Environmental Engineering
• Fluid Mechanics
• Heat and Mass Transfer
• Rheology and Non-Newtonian Fluid
• Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration
• Nano, Microfluidics and Micro-SystemsNuclear Engineering
• Offshore and Petroleum Engineering
