All manuscripts should be original, unpublished and should not be submitted or under revision elsewhere. Please refer to the call for papers for a list of topics.

When preparing your manuscript, please note that LaTeX is the preferred method. Please use the standard LaTeX IEEE conference template. If you use Microsoft Word, please use the Word IEEE conference template and the most recent version of the Word processor to help reduce word-to-pdf conversion issues such as embedded fonts, bookmarks, etc. Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process. Please contact the Technical Program Chairs. If you have any questions about submitting your manuscripts.

Overview

This ranking provides a comprehensive overview of scientific conferences within the field of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Compiled by Research.com, a recognized leader in providing trusted data on scientific research and contributions since 2014, the ranking leverages advanced analytics and in-depth evaluation of scholarly activities in the domain. Research.com is renowned for its expertise across all major scientific fields and is considered an authoritative source for information in Electronics and Electrical Engineering.

The positioning of conferences in this ranking is determined by a unique bibliometric score developed exclusively by Research.com. This metric is computed using a combination of the estimated h-index and the number of leading scientists participating in each conference over the past three consecutive years. This approach ensures that the rankings reflect not only the quantitative productivity of conferences but also the quality of scholars contributing to, and shaping, the discourse within the field.

The latest Impact Score values for this ranking were gathered as of 2024-11-27. The evaluation process involved rigorous scrutiny and vetting, initially examining more than 2,204 global conferences. These conferences were carefully selected based on detailed inspection and thorough analysis involving over 95,378 scientific documents published in the most recent three-year period. Additionally, contributions from 6,160 leading and respected scientists in Electronics and Electrical Engineering were a significant consideration in the review process.

This meticulous approach is designed to provide academics, professionals, and institutions with a reliable and transparent assessment of conference quality and influence. For further details on the methodology for computing conference ranking scores, including the bibliometric indicators and selection criteria employed, please visit our Methodology Page.

Papers citation over time

A key indicator for each conference is its effectiveness in reaching other researchers with the papers published at that venue.

The chart below presents the interquartile range (first quartile 25%, median 50% and third quartile 75%) of the number of citations of articles over time.

The top authors publishing at Signal Processing Systems (based on the number of publications) are:

  • Chaitali Chakrabarti (27 papers) published 5 papers at the last edition the same number as at the previous edition,
  • Francky Catthoor (20 papers) absent at the last edition,
  • Wonyong Sung (19 papers) published 1 paper at the last edition, 4 less than at the previous edition,
  • Min Li (19 papers) published 2 papers at the last edition, 1 less than at the previous edition,
  • An-Yeu Wu (19 papers) absent at the last edition.

The overall trend for top authors publishing at this conference is outlined below. The chart shows the number of publications at each edition of the conference for top authors.

Only papers with recognized affiliations are considered

The top affiliations publishing at Signal Processing Systems (based on the number of publications) are:

  • National Taiwan University (48 papers) published 7 papers at the last edition, 3 more than at the previous edition,
  • Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (42 papers) published 1 paper at the last edition, 7 less than at the previous edition,
  • Tampere University of Technology (40 papers) published 7 papers at the last edition, 4 less than at the previous edition,
  • Seoul National University (33 papers) published 2 papers at the last edition, 6 less than at the previous edition,
  • Arizona State University (29 papers) published 5 papers at the last edition the same number as at the previous edition.

The overall trend for top affiliations publishing at this conference is outlined below. The chart shows the number of publications at each edition of the conference for top affiliations.

Publication chance based on affiliation

The publication chance index shows the ratio of articles published by the best research institutions at the conference edition to all articles published within that conference. The best research institutions were selected based on the largest number of articles published during all editions of the conference.

The chart below presents the percentage ratio of articles from top institutions (based on their ranking of total papers).Top affiliations were grouped by their rank into the following tiers: top 1-10, top 11-20, top 21-50, and top 51+. Only articles with a recognized affiliation are considered.

During the most recent 2015 edition, 4.14% of publications had an unrecognized affiliation. Out of the publications with recognized affiliations, 19.14% were posted by at least one author from the top 10 institutions publishing at the conference. Another 11.73% included authors affiliated with research institutions from the top 11-20 affiliations. Institutions from the 21-50 range included 14.20% of all publications and 54.94% were from other institutions.

Returning Authors Index

A very common phenomenon observed among researchers publishing scientific articles is the intentional selection of conferences they have already attended in the past. In particular, it is worth analyzing the case when the authors participate in the same conference from year to year.

The Returning Authors Index presented below illustrates the ratio of authors who participated in both a given as well as the previous edition of the conference in relation to all participants in a given year.

Returning Institution Index

The graph below shows the Returning Institution Index, illustrating the ratio of institutions that participated in both a given and the previous edition of the conference in relation to all affiliations present in a given year.

The experience to innovation index

Our experience to innovation index was created to show a cross-section of the experience level of authors publishing at a conference. The index includes the authors publishing at the last edition of a conference, grouped by total number of publications throughout their academic career (P) and the total number of citations of these publications ever received (C).

The group intervals were selected empirically to best show the diversity of the authors' experiences, their labels were selected as a convenience, not as judgment. The authors were divided into the following groups:

  • Novice - P < 5 or C < 25 (the number of publications less than 5 or the number of citations less than 25),
  • Competent - P < 10 or C < 100 (the number of publications less than 10 or the number of citations less than 100),
  • Experienced - P < 25 or C < 625 (the number of publications less than 25 or the number of citations less than 625),
  • Master - P < 50 or C < 2500 (the number of publications less than 50 or the number of citations less than 2500),
  • Star - P ≥ 50 and C ≥ 2500 (both the number of publications greater than 50 and the number of citations greater than 2500).

The chart below illustrates experience levels of first authors in cases of publications with multiple authors.

Related Online Degrees & Career Pathways

For those interested in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, exploring cheapest self paced online college options can offer flexible learning schedules while managing education costs effectively. Self-paced programs allow students to balance their studies with personal and professional commitments, making them ideal for working individuals.

Many prospective students also seek reputable institutions that waive extra costs before admission. Finding colleges with no application fee can significantly reduce initial expenses, encouraging more applicants to enter the field without financial barriers.

Alternatively, exploring related technical fields like medical billing and coding can provide additional career avenues. Understanding the medical billing and coding certification cost is crucial for evaluating the investment required for this specialized certification, which opens doors to healthcare administration roles.

For those interested in healthcare transitions, programs such as a ccma to lpn bridge program offer a pathway to advance clinical careers by building on previous certifications, much like how engineers might specialize in niche areas within electrical fields.
