São Paulo State University, officially known as Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), is a premier Brazilian public university located in the state of São Paulo. It was founded in 1923 and went on to become one of the best universities in the country. It continues to be ranked as one of the top universities around the world as well. Furthermore, it is the only Brazilian university to become a member of the Compostela Group of Universities.
The university has some of the best infrastructures and facilities in the country. There are currently more than 20 campuses in the state that houses various faculties and schools. Aside from strong academic systems, it also has one of the best research arms in Brazil. It manages close to 2,000 laboratories and around 30 libraries.
