Call for Papers

Ten years after its inaugural edition at TBS Education in 2016, the 11th International Conference on New Business returns to Toulouse, reaffirming its role as a leading platform for spirited dialogue and debate in the field of
sustainable business model innovation.
This year’s conference takes place against a backdrop of three transformative and often contradictory—global dynamics:
Growth vs. Planetary Boundaries
Despite short-term fluctuations, long-term economic expansion remains a dominant trajectory, with projections suggesting a doubling of the global economy by 2050 (PWC, 2017). While this growth has lifted millions out of poverty and spurred green initiatives in some sectors, it remains anchored in extractivist and productivist models. The consequences are severe : resource extraction and processing drive over half of global greenhouse gas emissions, and 90% of biodiversity loss and water stress (EEA, 2021; UNEP, 2019). Current trajectories risk overshooting planetary boundaries, even as "green growth" narratives gain traction.
