Nanjing Tech University

Nanjing Tech University (NJTech) is a public research university in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. Its foundations can be traced back to 1902 with the founding of Sanjiang Normal School. It underwent several structural and name changes until it became Nanjing University of Technology in 2001 and assumed its current name in 2014. NJTech is among the pioneering institutions of higher education for training “Excellent Engineers” under the Chinese Ministry of Education program.

The university comprises 26 colleges that offer more than 70 fields of study. These academic units include College of Urban Construction and Safety Engineering, College of Industrial and Artistic Design, College of Food Science and Light Industry, and College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

NJTech offers 80 undergraduate programs, 126 postgraduate programs, and 35 doctorate programs, including 5 post-doctorate stations. These programs fall under eight major branches of learning, namely, medicine, philosophy, law, liberal arts, economics, management, science, and engineering.

Nanjing Tech University's student population is approximately 27,000, with around 22,000 undergraduates and 4,500 postgraduates. It employs 2,800 academic staff and operates two campuses, the main Jiangpu campus and the Mofan Road campus.
