International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) is a public university in Islamabad, Pakistan. It was founded in 1980 and is known as a center for Islamic studies. The university began as Islamic University and after restructuring in 1985, it became known as International Islamic University. It is ranked 14th in the country and 4,173rd in the world.

IIUI has nine faculties, six independent institutes, and about 34 departments. The faculties include the Faculty of Arabic, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Faculty of Basic and Applied Science, and Faculty of Social Sciences. The university has about 30,000 students (approximately 18,000 undergraduates and 12,000 postgraduates). It has over 2,000 academic staff to cater to the needs of students and about 2,300 staff in charge of administration. There are two campuses, which include a separate campus area for women.
