University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK) is a public land-grant research university situated in one of Tennessee’s largest cities, Knoxville. It was established in 1794 as Blount College. It underwent several structural and name changes before acquiring its present name in 1879. One of the oldest public institutions in the United States, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville is well-known for its excellent teaching and cutting-edge research.

The Knoxville campus is spread across 600 acres of land. It comprises 11 schools and colleges, including the Herbert College of Agriculture, Tickle College of Engineering, Haslam College of Business, and the College of Communication and Information.
