Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is a public research university in Shanghai, China. It was founded in 1896 by the Ministry of Posts and Communication as Nanyang Public School. One of the oldest institutions of higher education in China, SJTU is a Chinese Ministry of Education Class A Double First Class University and a C9 League university.
