Best Mathematics Scientists in Saudi Arabia

The 2nd edition of Research.com ranking of the best scholars in the field of Mathematics relies os data combined from various data sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The bibliometric data for devising the citation-based metrics were collected on 21-12-2022. Position in the ranking is based on a scholar’s D-index (Discipline H-index), which includes exclusively papers and citation values for an examined discipline.

The scope of our Mathematics research
Research.com’s best researchers ranking is a reliable account of leading scholars from the field of Mathematics, established by means of a meticulous examination of 166,880 scientists discovered from a variety of bibliometric data sources. For the field of Mathematics, more than 6262 scholars were investigated.

What is D-index approval threshold for Mathematics
The D-index threshold for approving a scientist to be examined is placed at 30 if most of their publications are in the discipline of Mathematics. The approval factors for scholars to be considered into the ranking of top scholars are based on the D-index, proportion of the publications made within the specific discipline in addition to the awards and achievements of the researchers. The D-index threshold for considering leading researchers is set as an increment of 10 depending on the overall number of scientists estimated for each scientific field whilst guaranteeing that the top 1% of best scientists are added into the ranking. We expect a proximity of 30% or less between a scientist’s general H-index and their D-index.

Additional verification methods
Because our main mission is to make sure that only genuine scientists are mentioned in our ranking we believe that numbers are never supposed to be a full measure to assess the output of scientists. Because of that we manually inspect every profile and cross-correlate it against publications in a wide range of reliable sources. While it’s not a factor impacting a researcher’s position in Research.com ranking, the quantity of papers published in well-known journals and conference proceedings should form a valuable secondary signal of their contribution to research in a selected area of science. Position in the ranking is established using each researcher’s D-index with the help of information gathered from OpenAlex and CrossRef, which are the most credible and well-established bibliometric databases of this kind open to the scientific community. A comprehensive explanation of our research policy can be found on our methodology page.

Our goal
Our objective is to motivate scholars, companies and administrative bodies around the world to explore where leading experts are heading and to give an opportunity for the entire research community to find out who the leading experts in specific areas of study, in various countries, or even within research institutions are.
