This proprietary score is calculated based on two primary criteria: the estimated h-index of each journal and the number of leading scientists who have endorsed the journal over the last three years. This methodology ensures a nuanced and rigorous assessment of journal impact, quality, and reputation within the scientific community.

For the current edition, Impact Score values were gathered as of 2024-11-27. The ranking process involved the examination of more than 3,312 Medicine journals, which were meticulously selected following an exhaustive review and analysis of over 1,403,299 scientific documents published within the past three years. This evaluation drew upon contributions from a cohort of 69,312 distinguished and respected scientists in Medicine, guaranteeing the depth and breadth of the assessment.
