Call for Papers

On behalf of the whole Organizing Committee and the International Scientific Committee, we welcome you to the 22nd International Conference on Experimental Mechanics (ICEM 2027) to be held in Palermo (Italy) on 6-9 July 2027. This Conference represents a forum where experts from around the world
discuss the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the field of experimental mechanics. The Conference fosters the discussion and identification of key and emerging challenges and opportunities in research, development, and field applications.
ICEM 2027 will be hosted by the Department of Engineering at the University of Palermo. The venue is located about one kilometer from the historical city center of Palermo. One of the entrances of the campus is also served by a dedicated metro station, which connect the University and the city center to the Airport. Palermo is the capital of Sicily, which is the largest island of the Mediterranean Sea. Besides the numerous touristic attractions within the city, the island of Sicily has more than two millennia of history, many natural beauties including three active volcanoes (Etna, Stromboli, and Vulcano), and seven UNESCO world heritage sites.
Engineers, researchers, and scientists from a wide variety of disciplines including but not limited to manufacturing, dynamic behavior of materials, nondestructive testing, fatigue, residual stress and multifunctional materials are invited to submit an abstract and to attend the event. While the portal submission is not open yet, those interested in organizing a special session are urged to contact the Conference Chairs by submitting a title and a brief description. Upon acceptance, the special sessions will be posted on the website.
