The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), founded in 1958, is a premier public research university based in Hefei, Anhui Province, China. Established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), USTC was envisioned to drive China’s scientific and technological progress. As one of China’s “Double First-Class” universities, it operates primarily from its main campus in urban Hefei, with additional research institutes nationwide.
