Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) is a public university in Hamburg, Germany. Established in 1970, it was formerly known as Fachhochschule Hamburg before it took its current name in 2001. With a student body of more than 17,000, it is regarded as the second-largest university in Hamburg and the third-largest applied sciences university in the nation.
