Moreover, the majority of their tier publications were required to be concentrated in the area of Law, ensuring disciplinary relevance. Awards and notable achievements in the field of Law were also considered to enhance the rigor of the evaluation.
The threshold for inclusion via the D-index is strategically calibrated in increments of 10 relative to the estimated total number of scholars within each discipline, with the objective of incorporating the top 1% of leading researchers. Additionally, to maintain coherence between a researcher’s general scholarly influence and their discipline-specific impact, the proximity between their overall H-index and D-index is maintained at 30% or less.

Researchers responsible for this ranking acknowledge that raw bibliometric data alone cannot serve as an absolute measure of a scholar’s output or influence. Accordingly, every scientist's profile was subjected to meticulous manual verification and cross-correlation against publications and citations documented in a broad array of reliable and trustworthy sources.
While the number of papers published in prominent journals and conference proceedings does not directly influence a researcher's position in the Research.com ranking, it serves as a valuable secondary indicator of contribution to the field of Law.
