Overview of VinUniversity
VinUniversity (VinUni) is a private, not-for-profit university founded in 2019 by Vingroup, one of Vietnam’s largest private enterprises, in collaboration with leading global institutions. Located in Hanoi, Vietnam, VinUni is designed as a comprehensive, research-intensive institution with an international focus. The university occupies a modern, 23-hectare campus within the Vinhomes Ocean Park urban area. With a student body of approximately 1,200 and three core faculties—Business & Management, Engineering & Computer Science, and Health Sciences—VinUni aims to set new benchmarks for higher education in Vietnam and the broader region.
VinUniversity distinguishes itself through its strong academic offerings, notably in engineering and computer science, health sciences (medicine and nursing), and business administration. The university employs an interdisciplinary, problem-based learning model co-developed with Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania. Its research agenda is rapidly gaining traction: VinUni publishes in high-impact journals and maintains active collaborations with global partners, offering pathways for joint degrees and student exchanges. In 2023, VinUni entered the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, reflecting its commitment to quality and sustainability.
