The Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA), established in 2007, stands as a premier research institute dedicated to the study of global governance, security, and international public policy. Situated in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, BSIA emerged from a partnership between the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). As a public, research-intensive institution, BSIA attracts a diverse cohort of approximately 150 graduate students annually, supported by over 80 affiliated faculty members drawn from its partner institutions.
