The focus of the 15th NOMA is on novel optical materials that possess unique characteristics for application in nonlinear- and electro-optics, communications, sensing, integrated- and nano- and bio-photonics/phononics. Materials of interest include, but are not limited to, optofludics, nano-structured metamaterials/metasurfaces, photonic crystals, liquid crystals and soft matters, nonlinear and electro-optical crystals.
The meeting provides a forum for invited presentations on the fundamentals of these materials and their roles in actual optical devices, and oral/poster presentations of new research results and developments. Participants will have ample time to learn new materials and optical system applications and involve themselves in ideas exchange and discussions in a picturesque setting.
