Additionally, a majority of the scientist’s tier publications were required to be concentrated in the area of Mathematics, ensuring alignment with the ranking’s disciplinary focus.
Scientist awards and achievements within the Mathematics field were also taken into account as supplementary evidence of scholarly distinction. The D-index threshold for considering top researchers is scaled in increments of 10, calibrated according to the total estimated number of scholars per discipline. This approach guarantees that the top 1% of leading scholars are consistently incorporated into the list. Furthermore, to ensure meaningful alignment between general research impact and discipline-specific impact, only researchers whose general H-index and D-index differed by 30% or less were included.
