Officially known as Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), the institution was founded in 2000 in Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. As a public comprehensive university supported by the Malaysian government, UTHM traces its origins to the establishment of the Polytechnic Training Centre in 1993 before achieving university status.
