Changsha University of Science and Technology or CSUST is a public multidisciplinary university located in Changsha, Hunan Province of China. Originally founded in 1956 as Changsha Jiaotong College, it obtained its current name in 2003 when it merged with Changsha Electric Power College. It is one of the largest educational institutions in China known for its contributions in the fields of engineering, science, and management. CSUST is counted among the top 100 universities in China.

CSUST has 18 schools and departments which includes the School of Physics and Electronic Engineering, the School of Maths and Computer Science, and the School of Economics and Management. CSUST has provincial research bases for philosophical and social sciences, research centers for engineering, as well as key laboratories for multidisciplinary research. The university obtained total funding of RMB 1000 million Yuan from national science and technology support plan projects and national social sciences fund among others.
The university has won over a dozen national research awards. These include winning the top prize of the National Scientific and Technological Advancement Award for its research project, Integrated Repair Techniques of Road Construction in the Expansive Soil Area.
