Scope of Research and Selection Criteria
This edition’s evaluation encompassed 279,971 scientist profiles, gathered from a wide array of bibliometric data sources, and spans all major scientific disciplines.
To ensure the relevance and fairness of the ranking, H-index qualifying thresholds were set individually for each research area—most commonly, these thresholds were set at 30 or 40.
In addition to bibliometric indicators, the selection committee also considered scientists’ awards and achievements within their respective fields. Ultimately, only the top 1,000 scientists with the highest H-indices were highlighted in this ranking, ensuring a focus on those with truly distinguished early careers.

Consequently, the ranking process included rigorous manual verification of each scientist profile, supplemented by cross-correlation against publications in a range of trustworthy sources.
While not an explicit factor in determining rank, the number of papers published in prominent journals and major conference proceedings is acknowledged as a meaningful supplementary indicator of a scientist’s scientific impact in their field.
The final placement in this ranking is firmly rooted in each researcher’s verified H-index, as derived from OpenAlex and CrossRef—the most prominent and widely respected bibliometric databases available to the global research community.
