The bibliometric data used for developing citation-based metrics in this ranking were collected on January 12, 2026, ensuring up-to-date and relevant evaluation metrics. Each scientist’s position in the ranking is determined exclusively by their D-index (Discipline H-index), a refined metric that only incorporates publications and citation counts pertinent to the examined discipline—in this case, Mathematics.
Scope of Research and Qualification Criteria
For this edition, a total of 279,971 scientist profiles spanning all disciplines were reviewed from a variety of bibliometric data sources. Among these, 6 scientists specializing in Mathematics within Malaysia were identified for assessment. To qualify for inclusion in this ranking, a scientist’s D-index must be at least 30, reflecting a substantial disciplinary impact. Additionally, a majority of the scientist’s tier publications must be rooted in the Mathematics domain, and individual awards and notable achievements in Mathematics also informed the selection process.
