Each conference’s position in the ranking is determined by a unique bibliometric score developed by Research.com. This score is calculated using the estimated h-index alongside the number of leading scientists who have endorsed the respective conference during the preceding three years, ensuring an objective and multi-dimensional evaluation of conference impact.

The ranking incorporates Impact Score values collected as of 2024-11-27. The conference selection process was rigorous, involving an in-depth review of more than 16 prestigious conferences. Over 2,140 scientific documents published in the past three years by 790 prominent and respected scientists within Microbiology were examined to ensure that only the most significant conferences are featured.
