National Chi Nan University

National Chi Nan University (NCNU) is a public university located in Puli Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. It was founded in 1995 with the mission of preserving cultural heritage and educating global-minded professionals. It figures prominently in rankings of the best universities in the world and in Asia and has gained recognition for being an environment-friendly university. NCNU is known for its focus on education, humanities, management, and science and technology.

In 2021, 38 out of 79 research proposals submitted by NCNU students to the Ministry of Science and Technology were approved. The research grants amounted to a total of NT$48,000.
