A researcher’s position within the ranking is determined by their D-index (Discipline H-index), a refined variant of the traditional H-index. The D-index exclusively incorporates papers and citation metrics pertinent to the examined discipline—in this case, Law—thereby providing a focused and discipline-specific measure of research impact.
Scope and Criteria of the Ranking
The ranking’s evaluation encompassed a comprehensive dataset of 279,971 scientist profiles aggregated from diverse bibliometric sources across all scientific disciplines. From this extensive pool, 6 scientists specializing in Law were specifically identified and assessed. To qualify for inclusion in this ranking, a researcher was required to possess a minimum D-index of 20 and to have the majority of their tier publications aligned with the Law discipline.
