These databases provide comprehensive and authoritative metadata on scholarly publications, citations, and related research outputs. The bibliometric data employed for calculating the citation-based metrics underlying this ranking were collected on January 12, 2026.
A scientist’s position in this ranking is principally determined by their D-index (Discipline H-index), a refined metric that isolates and evaluates an individual researcher’s impact and productivity strictly within the examined discipline of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. This discipline-specific approach ensures that the ranking accurately reflects contributions relevant to the field rather than general scientific output.
Scope and Inclusion Criteria
For the ranking process, a total of 279,971 scientist profiles spanning all disciplines were initially examined, with a focused analysis of 7 scientists specifically within the Electronics and Electrical Engineering domain in Czech Republic. To qualify for inclusion, scientists were required to have a D-index of at least 30, ensuring that only top-performing researchers were considered. Additionally, the majority of their tier publications—high-quality papers recognized within their academic communities—had to be clearly situated within Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
A scientist’s awards and notable achievements in the field were also taken into account to further validate their standing. The threshold for the D-index adjusts in increments of 10, calibrated to the estimated total number of scholars in each discipline. This methodology ensures inclusion of the top 1% of leading experts within the discipline, while maintaining a proximity of no more than 30% between a scientist’s general H-index and their D-index to guarantee alignment between their overall and discipline-specific impact.
Verification and Cross-Validation Practices

Accordingly, each scientist’s profile underwent a rigorous manual verification process. Their publication records were cross-referenced across a broad range of trustworthy sources to confirm accuracy and authenticity.
While the ranking position is based solely on the D-index as derived from OpenAlex and CrossRef—two of the most prominent and trusted bibliometric databases available to the research community—the volume of publications in renowned journals and leading conference proceedings was also examined as an informative secondary signal of scientific contribution. It should be noted, however, that this factor does not directly influence a researcher’s rank.
