The aim of Gesture is to expand the discussion of research in Gesture, Linguistics, Communication, Dance and Sign language. In it, Context (language use), Cognitive psychology, Language development, Semiotics and Cognitive science are investigated in conjunction with one another to address concerns in Gesture research. The work on Language development addressed in it expands to the thematically related Psycholinguistics.
Iconicity, Sign (semiotics), Narrative and Pragmatics research are fields of study within Linguistics but they also intertwine with concepts in Perspective (graphical).
