The Parthenope University of Naples, also known as Università degli Studi di Napoli Parthenope, is a public research university situated in the center of Naples, Italy. Established in 1920, the university’s origins can be traced back to the Royal Naval Technical Institute. It was initially created to promote scientific studies that develop naval technology and maritime economy. In 2019, the university was awarded several UNESCO Chairs, officially making it a center of excellence in the fields of ecology, nature conservation, environmental science, and sustainable development.
