Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat (SVNIT) was established in 1961 as one of India’s pioneering Regional Engineering Colleges and was later designated an Institute of National Importance. Strategically situated in Surat, Gujarat, India, SVNIT is a public, research-intensive technical university under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The institute hosts more than 5,000 students and over 200 faculty members, operating from its single 250-acre urban campus.
