Juilliard's recurring public performances are a defining part of its calendar. Concerts, recitals, dance presentations, and drama productions give students repeated opportunities to present work developed in lessons, rehearsals, and classes.
These events are more than entertainment: depending on the program, they can be part of training and assessment, and they bring work from different artistic disciplines before audiences. Graduation and commencement also mark the academic year. Event lineups, venues, ticket rules, and student participation change by season, so a prospective student should consult the current performance calendar rather than assume a specific production recurs annually.
Juilliard offers college-operated, coeducational housing to undergraduates, including residence-hall living at its Lincoln Center campus. Housing availability does not, by itself, establish that every applicant will receive a room; eligibility, deadlines, and placement terms should be checked during the housing application process.
Residents should review the current room options, residence policies, and required or available meal-plan arrangements together. Dining needs can also extend beyond a campus meal plan because students spend long days in rehearsals and classes. Off-campus housing may suit some students, but comparing rent alone with residence-hall charges can be misleading: utilities, transportation, food, lease length, and upfront deposits can materially change the annual cost.
