Overview of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania
The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh) was established in 1985 in Chania, Crete, Greece. As one of four constituent Institutes of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), MAICh operates as a public, internationally-oriented postgraduate and research institution. The Institute offers a focused yet comprehensive academic environment, accommodating approximately 200 postgraduate students annually from over 25 countries. The campus spans modern facilities dedicated to advanced research and education in Mediterranean and agro-environmental studies, ensuring a credible and dynamic setting for global collaboration.
