Gunma University (群馬大学, Gunma Daigaku) is a prominent national public university founded in 1949, located in Maebashi and Kiryu within Gunma Prefecture, Japan. The institution emerged from the historic amalgamation of pre-war colleges, such as Maebashi Medical College (established 1943), forming the foundation for its current multidisciplinary structure.
