Memorial University of Newfoundland (commonly known as Memorial or MUN) is a comprehensive, publicly funded university established in 1925 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Founded as a living memorial to Newfoundlanders who lost their lives in active service during the First World War, it has since grown to become one of Atlantic Canada’s largest universities.
