To qualify, each scientist’s D-index threshold was set at a rigorous minimum of 20, ensuring that only researchers with a demonstrable level of disciplinary impact were included. Additionally, scientists’ awards and notable achievements within their respective fields were carefully factored into the assessment, enriching the ranking with qualitative indicators of research excellence.
Verification Practices and Methodological Integrity
The Research.com team recognizes that raw bibliometric data alone cannot serve as an absolute measure of scholar productivity and impact. To this end, every scientist profile included in the ranking was manually verified and cross-correlated against publications indexed in a diverse array of trustworthy sources. This meticulous validation process significantly enhances the accuracy and credibility of the ranking.
While the number of publications in prominent journals and conference proceedings does not directly influence a researcher’s ranking position, it remains an important secondary indicator of a scientist’s contribution to their field.
