Each university’s position in the ranking is determined by the aggregated sum of D-indexes (Discipline H-index) of all ranking scholars affiliated with the institution. The D-index is a refined metric that exclusively considers publications and citation data pertinent to a specific academic discipline. Importantly, researchers from all major fields of science were included to ensure a balanced and representative evaluation across the entire research spectrum.
Scope of Research
The ranking encompasses an extensive analysis of 279,971 scientist profiles identified from a broad array of bibliometric data sources, covering all principal scientific disciplines. To qualify for consideration, scientists were required to meet a D-index threshold of 20, ensuring that only individuals with demonstrable impact in their fields were included. Beyond bibliometric indicators, scientists’ awards and notable achievements within their domains were also factored into the assessment, further enhancing the rigour and relevance of the ranking methodology.

Therefore, all scientist profiles underwent manual verification and were cross-correlated against publications indexed in a wide range of trustworthy sources. While the number of papers published in prominent journals and conference proceedings does not directly influence the position in this ranking, it remains a valuable secondary indicator of a researcher’s influence within a specific scientific area.
