UMA's reported overall graduation rate is 27% in IPEDS 2024-25 data. Its reported four-year rate is 16%, and its six-year rate is 26%. These are cohort measures, not a prediction of any individual student's chance of finishing.
Federal graduation-rate measures primarily follow defined groups of first-time, full-time students over specified periods. They do not describe the complete experience of a university with many transfer students, part-time students, and adults returning to education. The rates also need to be read as separately defined measures rather than added together. A reported student-retention rate of 60% supplies another indicator, but it too covers a defined population and period.
For a more useful personal estimate, a prospective student can map the required courses in a chosen major against the number of credits they realistically expect to take each term. Transfer-credit results and the frequency of required courses may matter more to that plan than an institution-wide rate.
College Scorecard program figures offer a limited view of earnings about one year after completion for graduates included in its federally aided student data. They are program-level observations, not starting salaries promised to every graduate or a measure of what all alumni earn.
In the October 2026 Scorecard figures, the reported one-year median for registered nursing was $65,790. Computer and information sciences had a reported median of $39,791, while criminal justice and corrections had a reported median of $36,205. These figures should be compared only with attention to the credential, the graduates included, and the year of measurement.
Location, prior work experience, further study, full-time versus part-time employment, and the kinds of jobs graduates choose can all affect earnings. Some programs have too few reportable observations for a useful comparison. Students weighing return on investment should consider likely borrowing and total time to completion alongside earnings data.
