Students should learn DULA's emergency and incident-reporting procedures for both its teaching location and any clinical site they attend. In an immediate emergency in the United States, call 911; routine safety concerns should go through the institution's designated campus contact or the relevant clinical-site supervisor.
Before classes begin, students can locate the current emergency contacts, evacuation instructions, and procedures for reporting harassment or sexual misconduct in the student handbook. An annual security report, where applicable, describes reported incidents for specified locations and years; it should not be read as a complete measure of every student's personal safety. Applicants with evening classes should also check building access, departure times, and their route home.
