Bridgewater State University

What are the popular events and traditions at Bridgewater State University?

Bridgewater State's recurring campus events include Kick-Off Week, Homecoming, and Spring Carnival. Together they provide different points in the academic year for students to gather outside classes.

Kick-Off Week introduces activities and ways to get involved near the start of the year. Homecoming brings current students and alumni together around university programming and athletics. Spring Carnival offers a later-year student-life event. Particular activities, dates, and eligibility to attend can change, so the annual campus calendar is more useful than assuming each event follows the same format every year.

What are the student housing and dining options at Bridgewater State University?

Bridgewater State offers university-operated undergraduate housing, including coeducational residence options. Campus housing is available, but availability should not be mistaken for a guarantee of a preferred room, building, or placement.

Students considering residence should review housing eligibility, application dates, deposits, room-selection rules, and what happens if demand exceeds available spaces. The reported residence facilities have high-speed internet access. Meal plans and campus dining provide on-campus food options; the appropriate plan depends on a student's residence assignment and eating habits. Commuters and students seeking off-campus housing should compare lease terms and transportation costs separately from the university's residential charges.
