UAS students should use the university's current emergency procedures and reporting channels for their campus, whether they study in Juneau, Ketchikan, or Sitka. Residence-hall entrances are reported to use electronic access controls, but that feature alone does not describe the full campus safety system.
Before arriving, students can identify how to receive emergency notifications, where to report an immediate threat, and how to reach staff for a housing concern. Sexual misconduct reporting and support follow university policies and Title IX procedures. The university's annual security report is the appropriate place to review officially reported campus crime statistics and safety policies; those statistics should be read with their stated locations and reporting years in mind, rather than treated as a complete measure of personal risk.
