Commonwealth University's campuses have public-safety and emergency-response arrangements, but students should consult the procedures for the campus they attend. The most useful resources to identify in advance are how to report an immediate emergency, how to receive university alerts, and where to report a safety concern or sexual misconduct.
Federal law requires colleges to publish an annual security report containing specified crime statistics and safety policies. Those statistics cover defined categories, locations, and reporting periods; they are not a complete measure of an individual's risk. Because Bloomsburg, Lock Haven, and Mansfield are different locations, applicants should read the report and emergency instructions relevant to their campus rather than treating a university-wide description as a substitute.
