CSI has campus public-safety personnel and emergency-response procedures. Reported resources include around-the-clock patrols, emergency phones or alarms, late-night escort or transportation assistance, and electronically controlled entrances to student housing.
Students should learn how to contact Public Safety, receive campus emergency alerts and report an incident before they need those services. CSI also publishes information on sexual misconduct reporting and support through CUNY's policies. Its annual security report is the appropriate place to review federally reported campus crime statistics and safety procedures; those statistics have defined reporting boundaries and do not, by themselves, establish that any campus is safe or unsafe.
