WesternU's campus-safety procedures should be evaluated through its current public-safety guidance and annual security report. The report required under the federal Clery Act describes designated reporting channels and publishes crime statistics for defined locations and reporting periods; those statistics do not capture every safety concern a student could encounter.
Students should locate the current instructions for reporting an emergency, receiving campus alerts, and reporting sexual misconduct before classes begin. Title IX reporting and support are distinct from an emergency call or a criminal complaint. Because clinical training may occur away from campus, students should also follow the emergency and incident-reporting procedures of each assigned placement site.
