Oglala Lakota College

What are the popular events and traditions at Oglala Lakota College?

Commencement is an important recurring Oglala Lakota College event, bringing degree completion into a wider college and community setting. Cultural programming, including Lakota-focused gatherings when scheduled, reflects the institution's educational purpose.

Students should consult the current college calendar rather than assume an event takes place at the same location or in the same format every year. At a multi-center college, the date and site of a collegewide gathering affect whether students and families can attend; individual centers may also publicize their own activities.

What are the student housing and dining options at Oglala Lakota College?

Oglala Lakota College reports college-owned or college-operated undergraduate housing, but its availability should not be mistaken for guaranteed accommodation at every instructional location. Students considering housing should confirm the property's location, eligibility rules, application process, and current capacity before making travel or enrollment commitments.

The reported annual room and board charges were $3,600 each in the 2024-25 figures, but those published amounts do not establish that a particular room or meal arrangement will be available to an individual student. Applicants should ask what dining arrangement the board charge represents and whether it suits their class location and schedule. Students planning to live off campus should budget separately for rent, groceries, utilities, and transportation.
