For 2024-25, reported full-time undergraduate tuition was the same for in-state and out-of-state students: $9,240, plus $2,275 in required fees. The reported part-time undergraduate charge was $385 per credit hour. Tuition alone therefore understates the billed cost of full-time attendance.
Adding those reported tuition, fee, room-and-board, and book figures produces $20,715 before transportation, personal expenses or other individual costs. It is a planning calculation, not a personalized financial-aid offer or a complete cost-of-attendance budget. A student living off campus may have a different housing cost.
Financial aid can change what a student ultimately pays. In the 2024-25 reporting, 82% of students received financial aid, while 47% had student loans; the reported average grant award to undergraduates was $5,651. Those averages do not predict an individual award. Applicants should compare the college's current itemized cost estimate with their own aid offer, paying particular attention to the difference between grants, which generally do not require repayment, and loans, which generally do.
Students considering part-time work should distinguish a paid campus job from Federal Work-Study, which is a need-based financial-aid program. A financial-aid offer or general eligibility for aid does not itself secure a job.
Ask the financial-aid office whether Federal Work-Study appears in an individual aid package and how students apply for approved positions. For other part-time work, ask which campus offices hire students and whether jobs are available during the intended term. Students seeking career experience should also check whether a position relates to their field of study; employment, an internship and an academic-credit placement may have different requirements.
