University of Toccoa Falls traces its history to 1907 and has remained committed to Christ-centered education for more than a century. From its beginning, the institution has sought to integrate biblical truth with academic excellence while developing students of character who are prepared to serve God wherever He calls them.
Over the years, Toccoa Falls grew from a Bible-focused institution into a comprehensive Christian university offering undergraduate, graduate, online, and dual enrollment programs. Although its academic offerings have expanded, its mission has remained rooted in Scripture and centered on preparing students for lives of faithful service.
The history of Toccoa Falls is also marked by resilience and faith. Following the devastating 1977 dam break and flood, the campus community rebuilt with a renewed dependence on God and a strengthened commitment to its mission. That spirit continues to shape the University today.
Now known as University of Toccoa Falls, the institution continues its long-standing commitment to developing godly character with intellect and equipping students to lead and serve with conviction, compassion, and excellence.
University of Toccoa Falls offers more than 50 majors and programs through five academic schools: the School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Christian Ministries, the Fetterman School of Nursing, the School of Teacher Education, and the Chapman School of Graduate Studies.
The School of Arts & Sciences includes programs in Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Humanities, Music, and Natural Science & Mathematics. Students receive a broad academic foundation while learning to thoughtfully integrate faith with their chosen discipline.

The School of Teacher Education equips future educators to teach with excellence and purpose, while the Chapman School of Graduate Studies offers flexible online master's programs that prepare working professionals for greater leadership and service.
Across every academic program, University of Toccoa Falls combines rigorous academics with intentional spiritual formation. Faculty members invest personally in students, helping them grow intellectually, spiritually, and professionally throughout their time at the University.
