RFU's outcomes are better evaluated by specific degree and entering cohort than by a conventional four- or six-year freshman graduation rate. Its enrollment is concentrated in graduate and professional education; the federal first-time undergraduate measures commonly used to compare four-year colleges do not describe most RFU students.
For a professional program, useful questions include the share of entrants who complete the degree, the usual time to completion, attrition, and - where relevant - licensing-exam performance or residency placement. These measures answer different questions: a licensing pass rate usually concerns students who reached an exam, not everyone who originally enrolled. Applicants should look for the program's published definitions and cohort years before comparing outcomes across schools.
Future earnings for an RFU student depend on the profession, degree, location, training completed after graduation, and time spent in practice. A single university-wide salary figure would blur substantial differences among medicine, pharmacy, podiatry, nursing, research, and other fields.
When comparing published earnings figures, check whether the statistic is a median or mean, whether it covers graduates or only those with matched earnings records, and how many years after enrollment or completion it was measured. Early-career physician earnings, for example, may reflect residency rather than later independent practice. Salary estimates are most useful alongside total borrowing, licensing requirements, additional training time, and the range of jobs available to graduates; they are not a promise of an individual outcome.
